On 20th March was Final stage of Winter Cup in Chisinau. Winter Cup is my favorite competition. It is full of drama: labyrinths, lines, sprint distances that keep you in the leadership and in the end you can lose first place. I started this cup with a victory: I remembered that moment. A night before competition had landed in Chisinau, after an exciting travel. I woke up that morning with a good mood, cause I should run orienteering. Actually, that race was first race in my last half year, since Championship in May (whole summer in USA, whole autumn in Moldova I had a lot of work). I was in good spirits, the provision became even better when I passed first the finish line. Then my 4 wins in labyrinth. Already two years, nobody can win me in this kind of competition. I don't want to upset my friend, I fight with myself. But I'm sure that next year this won't be easy.... Details>>>>

   Last week was very hot in Tiraspol, where I met the strongest competitors from Moldova. We comepte in Sprint and Sprint Relay distances. I can say this competition is a simulation of National Championship from 11-13 March, and personal for me is a test to evaluate my level of running at this moment. First day was Sprint distance: 2.4km I passed in 14.25min. Was some problems with missing control points (cause of this I lost around a minute). Average speed was 4.25min/km, is approximatively same speed developed by me at training.  Details>>>>>

  Usually, during winter in Chisinau is organized Chisinau Winter Cup, which consist from 7 stages and final! This Sunday was 5th stage -> Labyrinth. Yeeee... this is my favorite type of orienteering. Why? Because here I should think, observe, analyze very fast. Year by year, in Chisinau labyrinths are more, and more difficult. For example, at last competition was three floors with 8 classrooms. And because I like this kind of orienteering very much, I prepare for these competitions.   On 25 December the capital hosted third edition of the Christmas Marathon. Sunny day, runners dressed as characters from fairy tales and a lot  of Marathon Christmas  gifts.. An unforgettable event and a nice start of the holiday season. 

   Christmas Marathon is organized by Sporter.md, gathered three times more participant compared to the previous year. Now, on the main street of our capital ran 1000 participants, all dressed in carnival costumes. We had to run 3km , collecting gifts. Details >>>>>

  This Saturday was a new labyrinth, at which I wanted, of course, participate. The author as my brave coach Dumitru Plamadeala. The Author of the map raised interest in participating at competition. Why? Because Dumitru is known for amazing routes which we invent. Two days before event Dumitru said me that labyrinth is superdifficult and very interesting, I was amused and told this won't create problem for me and I can show a good time and win the competition. Dumitru said that I won't pass route less then 15 minutes. It was a challenge for me, so I made a bet passing course faster then 15 minutes (this moment really motivated to run at highest possible speed). Details>>>>

  Winter season passes very quickly. Just few days ago I participated at first stage of Winter Cup, and this weekend was already the second stage - labyrinth. At first stage I had few chances to win, but at this stage I had first chance. Why? Because I like very much this kind of orienteering, and each time I try to do my best, and show good result.

 First of all I was awarded for first stage, after that made some exercises, and waited very long time to get out at the start. Finally was my time and I took map. First look - and first impression: WTF?... Details ||>>>>>>>>

  I wanted to write the summary of  competition a few days ago, but I was waiting official results. Firstly I will start as hard as I missed to participate in a orienteering competition: half year has passed since I finished my last orienteering race: Moldavian Orienteering Championship Relay, where me with Roma Ciobanu and Fala Sergiu took the second place. In this half year three months I was in USA, after that I came back in Moldova but sometimes I was referee, sometimes I was busy with other projects. So do you can see my desire to participate was extremely high. Detalis||>>

  On 25 april in Chisinau was a regional orienteering competition Azimut -Prietenie! In this year, organizers  made a middle distances (not free choice, as in last 3 years - I dislike this type of orienteering because to get a good place you need have fast legs at finish). Distances had 5,41km. Initially when I saw length of course my smail vanished from my face  - again 5-6km! How I will compete with our atlhetes. However I quieted, over a day was scheduled first International Chisinau Marathon (my first official marathon), so I decided to run slowly, carefully, to have power for marathon. I found on my blog old map...  Details>>>
